Pflugerville is a city in Travis County, Texas, located northeast of Austin, with a small portion of its municipal area extending into Williamson County. It is part of the Austin–Round Rock metropolitan area and has grown from a modest farming community into a substantial suburb. The city's name traces to the Pfluger family, early German settlers who were among the area's first residents, and that German heritage remains part of the community's identity.
The 2020 census counted 65,191 residents, and the city has continued to grow as the Austin region expands north and east.
