Westworth Village is a city in Tarrant County, Texas, on the western side of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex in North Central Texas. It sits between Fort Worth and White Settlement, roughly five nautical miles west of downtown Fort Worth, and had a population of 2,585 in the 2020 census. The city covers approximately two square miles, making it one of the smaller municipalities in the heavily urbanized western part of the county. The community's defining feature is its close relationship with Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base, whose Carswell Field airfield lies partly within Westworth Village's boundaries. The base operates across land in Fort Worth, Westworth Village, and White Settlement and has long anchored the local economy, alongside the adjacent aerospace and defense industry that grew up around the airfield. The city itself has little commercial development, so residents depend on White Settlement and Fort Worth for everyday needs.
